When you visit the website information is logged with our Internet Service Provider (ISP). The purpose of this logging is to manage website content. The following information is included as part of the logging process

Eventbrite - Terms and Conditions

The City of Onkaparinga uses Eventbrite to manage its events and bookings. Please note to register for an event through Eventbrite, you must agree to the Eventbrite Privacy Policy and Eventbrite Terms of Service.

Refunds, exchanges and replacements

The City of Onkaparinga will only offer a refund or exchange of a ticket if an event is cancelled or rescheduled (and you cannot or do not wish to attend the event), or to the extent otherwise required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law). You must apply for a refund within a reasonable time. The City of Onkaparinga does not offer refunds or exchanges as a result of a change in your personal circumstances.

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, all liability is limited to the amount for which the ticket was purchased (including any fees or charges). Proof of purchase may be required for any refund or exchange. Unless required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), neither the City of Onkaparinga nor Eventbrite will be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of an event, including any travel and accommodation expenses.

The City of Onkaparinga will only replace lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets if the authenticity of the ticket can be verified, including proof of purchase, and if you give reasonable notice before the event. The City of Onkaparinga may charge a reasonable fee for the replacement of tickets. 

You should carefully consider the refund and cancellation policies of travel, accommodation and other goods or service providers when making arrangements for attendance at an event. 


MailChimp - Terms and Conditions

The City of Onkaparinga (the Council) uses Mailchimp to provide electronic newsletters to and communicate with subscribers about the Council and goods and services supplied by the Council.

In distributing newsletters and providing information about the Council and its goods and services, Mailchimp will collect personal information from you, including email addresses you have provided to the Council for the purpose of receiving electronic newsletters and news about the Council and its goods and services, and all information relating to those email addresses. For further information about the type of information Mailchimp collects, refer to Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Mailchimp will use the information collected from you for the purpose of hosting the online platform to enable the Council to create, send and manage electronic newsletters and emails relating to the work of the Council. Mailchimp will also use this information to measure the performance of the Council’s email campaigns.

Mailchimp may transfer this information to its contractors or other third parties who process the information on Mailchimp’s behalf, or where otherwise required to do so by law.

Mailchimp is based in the United States of America (USA) and is subject to the laws of the USA. Your information (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Mailchimp on servers located outside Australia.

By signing up to the mailing list, you:

  • consent to your personal information being collected, used and disclosed as set out in these terms and conditions, and in Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy and agree to abide by Mailchimp’s Terms of Use;
  • consent to your personal information being sent and stored overseas, and acknowledge that Australian Privacy Principle 8.1 contained in Schedule 1 to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) will not apply;
  • acknowledge that the Council is not subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and you will not be able to seek redress under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) for any privacy breaches by the Council;
  • acknowledge that Mailchimp is not subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and you will not be able to seek redress under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) for any privacy breaches by Mailchimp but will need to seek redress under the laws of the USA.
